I remember the day when the impala was a fantastic sleeper car. Options for a v8 and such. Lack of power really makes this an underwhelming car now.

Meh, figured. I don't really pay attention to what Chevy's making these days. And I have no idea what platform the current Impala Sedan is on, but they could have put in on the same platform as the Cadillac CTS Coupe, so you never know. Lame FWD Chevy coupe is lame.

The Impala rides around on the Epsilon II platform, shared with the Malibu, LaCrosse and XTS. If they were to actually make an Impala coupe (Monte Carlo) then it would be best to throw it on the Alpha platform, something the current Impala should already be on. It's a Cadillac exclusive platform but seeing as they're sharing it with the Camaro why not the Impala to.

It likely won't happen anyways. This coupe is just an extremely well done photoshop.
